LESSONS
Beginners will learn basic horse care, grooming, tacking and riding on the lunge line until they have achieved an independent seat. After that, our riders ride independently and learn the basic aids. We will spend some time on bending, half halts and the correct carriage of the horse under the rider. In the intermediate lessons we will mainly learn lateral movements in order to influence the horse's hindquarters, the main 'ingredient' to Classical Dressage. From Versade and Travers to the Piaffe, the mother of all horse gymnastics!! PRICING: Below is our 2008 price list: ● 1 hour private:$70.00 ● pre-paid 10 lesson card: $ 650.00 (trailer-in & travel: add $10/lesson or $720) ● 1/2 hour private: $ 45.00 ● Pre-Paid 10 1/2 lesson card: $400.00 LEASE PROGRAM So many of our students want to
ride more than once a week. However, they realize the
responsibility, time commitment and financial involvement needed to
own a horse and want to try before they buy. Some riders can't
afford the own horse, but still want to ride more. And some are not
ready for the consistent time commitment, horse ownership brings
with it.
For anyone interested in
leasing one of our horses, here is what is covered: We take care of
our horse from top to bottom, and you may use our tack.
The lease includes 1 lesson and
2 additional hours per week. An optional professionally guided
weekend trail ride (approx. 1 1/2 hours) can be added.
COST PER MONTH:
Basic Lease (1 private
lesson+2 rides in ring) $ 650
Add 1 group trail ride/week
$ 995
Please note that lease
opportunities are very limited as each horse and rider have to be
matched by skill level, availability as well as riding schedules.
Leases can be customized to the individual situation. Please ask!
